Czech mortgage glossary
Pre-mortgage loan
A short-term bridge loan provided by the bank before the lien is registered in the cadaster. Typically used for auction purchases or construction, when securing a mortgage by lien isn't yet possible. After the security is added, it converts into a regular mortgage. Rates are higher and the term is at most 1–2 years.
