Property appraisal

Determination of the market value of a property by a certified appraiser accepted by the bank. The appraisal value is the basis for LTV calculation — not necessarily what you pay for the property. If you buy below market price, the bank lends based on the appraisal, not the purchase price. The appraisal usually costs CZK 4,000–8,000.
