End of fixation

The moment when the agreed fixed-rate period ends. About 3 months in advance, the bank sends a new rate offer. The client has three options: (1) accept the existing bank's offer (refixation), (2) refinance with another bank, (3) repay the remaining principal. In 2026, fixation ends on CZK 460 billion of mortgages from 2020–2021 — a major wave for the entire market.
